What would cause my power steering?

to fail at the same time my car overheats? It's a 96 Saturn SL2 DOHC. I just replaced the serpentine belt to the correct size (previous was 2mm too big, but it ran the car fine for 4 months), and drove for ~20mi before this problem started. All the fluids are fine, by the way.
